Santa Clara Panhellenic

About Us

Alpha Delta Pi is proud to be the first secret society exclusively for women. Founded on May 15, 1851, at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia, our sorority is rich with tradition and sisterhood. Alpha Delta Pi sisters strive for excellence in philanthropy, academic performance, and campus leadership. In keeping with our motto, We Live for Each Other, our members have found a place for support, shared values, and personal development. Opportunities abound for the sisters of Alpha Delta Pi, and we look forward to sharing them with you.

Santa Clara:

The Theta Pi chapter of Alpha Delta Pi was brought to the Santa Clara community in 2013. With our various philanthropy events, we have raised thousands of dollars for Ronald McDonald House Charities.

In addition to philanthropy events, we have quarterly formals and weekly sisterhood events and socials. We pride ourselves on our sisterhood and strive towards making Theta Pi the most welcoming environment!

Internationally:

Our story begins in 1851 at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia, where six incredible women changed the world.

Led by Eugenia Tucker Fitzgerald, our founders formed The Adelphean Society for “the mental, moral, social, and domestic improvement of its members.” The Adelphean Society, later renamed Alpha Delta Pi, was the first secret society for college women.

The principles of scholarship, leadership, sisterhood, and service guide over 235,000 women in more than 151 active collegiate chapters and over 150 alumnae associations of Alpha Delta Pi.

Member Testimony:

Being a member and the President of Alpha Delta Pi is one of the best decisions I have made in my college career. I have met some of the most accepting, genuine, and intelligent women, that I am lucky to call my sisters. Winter of my freshman year I was set on transferring to a school closer to home, but after my first Continuous Open Recruitment event with ADPi and a coffee chat with my future big, I knew I had to stay at SCU. These girls have been with me through some of the most important and hardest moments these past three years. I am proud to lead this chapter of amazing women who inspire me every day with their strength, compassion, and dedication. Serving as president has not only allowed me to give back to a community that has given me so much, but it has also helped me grow into a more confident, empathetic, and resilient leader. I will forever be grateful for Alpha Delta Pi and the lifelong friendships, lessons, and love it has brought into my life.
